Major Events Executive. Strategic Operator. Independent Studio.
Daniel Noake has spent almost twenty years building, operating, and delivering major live experiences at the highest level — from stadium concert tours across the Middle East to pan-African boxing platforms, from flagship government summits to Webby Award-winning broadcast productions. He operates through Hammerton Barca, an independent studio focused on strategy, market entry, and delivery for live sport, culture, and entertainment — with particular depth in Africa and emerging markets.
A career in four chapters
Building at Scale
Director of Events, IMG Arts & Entertainment
At IMG's global arts and entertainment division, Daniel led a 48-person cross-disciplinary team and held full P&L responsibility for an £8.5 million annual portfolio. Over seven years he built and operated some of the UK's most recognised live properties — Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Taste of London, the Natural History Museum Ice Rink, The Big Feastival, and the global Treasures of Tutankhamun touring exhibition. He drove average gross profit growth of 8% per annum and established the governance frameworks and delivery standards that would define his approach throughout the following decade.
C-Level Leadership
Executive Producer, Hargrove · COO then CSO, Modev
Moving to Washington D.C. in 2018, Daniel joined Hargrove Experience as their first Executive Producer, leading the agency into direct-to-brand experiential work — delivering projects including the Taylor Swift x Stella McCartney launch and PUMA's Fitness Tour across the United States. He subsequently joined Modev as COO, then CSO, where he led the business through one of the most disruptive periods in the events industry. When COVID-19 cancelled the global events calendar overnight, Daniel oversaw the full transformation of Modev's model — pivoting a live events business into a distributed content and broadcast operation. The result was award-winning: Voice Talks with Google Assistant earned a Webby Award for Best Virtual & Remote: Technology Show, and the business continued to grow throughout the pandemic.
Building Independently
Principal, Hammerton Barca
In 2020 Daniel established Hammerton Barca as the operating entity through which he works at senior-executive level with governments, global promoters, rights-holders, brands, and international institutions — particularly across Africa and the GCC. The studio's output spans go-to-market strategy, delivery governance, executive production, and owned IP. Clients have included Live Nation, IMG, UEFA, Baller League, UNESCO, the African Union, and the Rwanda Development Board. Alongside client work, he has co-founded Africa Fight Night — a pan-African boxing platform and media property launched in Kigali in 2025 — and developed EventsConnect Global, a marketplace connecting world-class events with host destinations.
Teaching
Adjunct Professor, George Washington University
Alongside his executive career, Daniel served as Adjunct Professor of Major Event Management at the George Washington University School of Business, designing and teaching a postgraduate module covering strategy-phase planning, delivery lifecycle management, governance, and risk for major international events. He was ranked among the highest-rated faculty for teaching quality.
